when the 360 came out it was technically superior to the ps2

but why does that mean its shit

the game boy was technically inferior to the atari lynx
the ps1 was technically inferior to the n64 and the dc
the ps2 was technically inferior to the gc and xbox
the ds and the gba is technical inferior to the psp
the game boy was technically inferior to the atari lynx
the wii is technically inferior to all including the boy with a piece of chalk and a stone playing hop scotch
xp is inferior to vista as vista is to any mac os
internet explorer is inferior to firefox
ipods are inferior to insert name of the mp3 player andy and tommy used to go on about
wired mice, keyboards and printers are inferior to wireless versions

the point being that just because it shines and is technically superior it doesn

Iag, you aint making sense.

head + brick wall = sore head

but iag cant you see if technolgy was the deciding factor my small list of inferior products beating the shiney technologically advanced producted wouldnt exsist yet it clearly does or is my perception of which competing item won wrong.

yes the ps3 offeres a great deal of technology but at present they are still proving themselves against the 360, and the 360 does have advantages rumble, acceptance of friends invites while ingame, talking to others while ingame who arent even on the same game as you, working achivements list (home isnt here yet), stable live service (ps3 will have to run for 12months to prove it as stable)

stolen games oh please but if you insist resistance fall of man was stolen from half life, gears of war and call of duty/medal of honour

half life provided the alien structures
gears of war provided the aliens and the idea of underground tunnels
call of duty/medal of honour provided the time frame

rumble is no advantage. its old hat!

the thing has been out a week and its already at the top of the charts which i think and many in the industry would show that its the much better system

half life was a pc based game which is coming to ps3 with lots of bonuses over the shitty 360version and i was referring to the likes of GTA franchise.

no rumble is not old hat, its an industry expected standard unfortunately sony were in a situation where they couldnt include it without it costing them excessive amounts of money they therefore decided to make a claim that it was impossible to put in due to their motion technology and that it was last years news. As far as i was aware this fooled about 0% of the worlds population however it would appear that i was wrong as youve brought into the idea

do we see any of the console makers disposing of the d-pad as its old hat and not used, other than a four way push button hell they could save about 1cm square in plastic by just using buttons insted of a d-pad

gta stolen its a franchise it was no more stolen than sonic appearing across multiple platforms. The studio that produces it is not going to limit itself to one console especially when theres say 6million potential customers on another platform.

surely it doesnt matter if it was stolen from a pc or a console, games move from one platform to another as potential lines of revenue open up, ms provided a suffciently sized userbase to make it worth while for any francise to release either a direct port or a reworked version of their game. Did we complain when command and conqour for the pc was ported onto the ps1, or when final fantasy went from nintendo to sony, or when sonic appeared on the wii, or crazy taxi on the ps2, or pac man on xbox live or resident evil on the game cube

Bonuses are inevitable on any later released game to encourage gamers to buy the same game again on a different platform or the same platform, metal gear solid a prime example they always release a standard version we all go out and buy it 12months later they throw in some boss fights we all go buy the game again
